  • Survivor’s Ken McNickle Says His “Skin Was Tearing Open” Before Cancer Diagnosis

Survivor‘s Ken McNickle—who was the runner-up on season 33 of the CBS reality show—shared his cancer diagnosis, explaining how he learned the news and the symptoms he experienced beforehand.

Ken McNickle is sharing a terrifying health battle.

The Survivor alum—who was the runner-up on season 33 of the CBS reality show in 2016—shared he’s been diagnosed with cancer, explaining how he learned the news and the scary symptoms he experienced beforehand.

“That moment when you hear the words … it’s cancer and everything becomes muted,” Ken wrote in a June 1 Instagram post over photos of himself in the hospital. “The doctor sounding like the teacher from Charlie Brown. You realize nothing is registering other than that one word.”

While the reality star—who was a finalist on Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X in 2016—did not share details about what kind of cancer he is battling, he opened up about the concerning symptoms that led him to ultimately get medical help.

“I waited almost a year until my skin was tearing open to get this checked,” he explained in a follow-up video shared June 3. “And had I gone in sooner, it would have been a simple procedure, not a 3-inch hole in my chest.”

According to Ken, he “waited for almost three months seeing blood fill the stool every morning before getting checked out.”

At that point, he said it was “confirmed” his “insides were tearing open.”

He added, “I waited until that lump on my testes had grown to the size of the other two before getting it checked.”

The 43-year-old admitted he regrets waiting so long to go to the doctor, sharing what may have contributed to his hesitation.

“I was wondering why so many times I had been so f–king stupid,” he said. “And then it hit me this morning. Flashes from my childhood and adolescence, hearing the words, ‘Stop crying. Don’t be a baby. Don’t be a bitch. Stop being a p—y. Just be a man.’ I’m thinking that had something to do with it.”

After he was diagnosed, the Colorado-based life coach said a “flood of questions” set in.

“Why now? What did I do to deserve this? Why didn’t I come in sooner? After everything else, now this?” Ken wrote in his June 1 post. “And then the feeling of defeat and you hear the words ‘f–k it’ start to creep in. The beginning of the process of giving up. And then I think about my daughter, my lady and the life we want and how there’s another option… to fight.”

“Because there’s always a choice,” he added. “And I’m choosing optimism, health, happiness and knowing that the spirit has me. And most importantly, I’m choosing love.”

Yet, Ken believes his situation is an example of a bigger issue that needs to be addressed.

“There’s an epidemic in regards to men’s health and we’re not giving it enough attention,” he wrote in the caption of his video. “We need to be talking more about why men are 50% less likely to go to a doctor for physical ailments and 60% less likely to get help with mental and emotional issues. Why do you think it is? What needs to change?”

  • Taylor Swift’s Net Worth Is Now $2 Billion

Taylor Swift’s net worth has risen to a whopping $2 billion, jumping up from $1.6 billion in 2024, with her new financial value further solidifying her title as the world’s richest female musician.
One for the money, two for the show—Taylor Swift is ready, so watch her go.

Less than two years after the “Champagne Problems” singer’s estimated net worth was revealed to be $1.6 billion, Taylor’s net worth jumped once again to a whopping $2 billion, according to Forbes.

Per the business magazine’s “Iconoclast 50” list, published June 3, the Grammy winner’s net worth doubled since she first became a billionaire in 2023, due to her record-breaking Eras Tour, which ran from 2023 to 2025, and the sales of multiple re-recorded albums.

In addition, Taylor, 36, has also released two new albums Tortured Poets Department and Life of a Showgirl in 2024 and 2025, respectively. And not only that: she bought back the rights to her first six albums last year.

The “Opalite” singer’s financial value is made up of almost $800 million earned from royalties and touring, a music catalog which is estimated to worth $600 million and $110 million in real estate, per Forbes.

And with her new net worth of $2 billion, Taylor has further secured her title of the world’s richest female musician. The “Fate of Ophelia” singer was previously crowned as such after her net worth was revealed to be $1.6 billion in October 2024, with Taylor surpassing Rihanna.

And while she remains the wealthiest female artist, she is not the richest musician. That title goes to Jay-Z, whose net worth currently sits at $2.8 billion, per an updated Forbes profile.

Yet, Taylor’s financial milestones are surely something to celebrate. After all, Forbes previously declared the “Lover” singer as “the first musician to make the billionaire ranking primarily based on her songs and performances.”

  • James Handy stabbed to death allegedly by girlfriend’s son

Police have arrested the son of actor James Handy’s girlfriend in his death after he was found stabbed in the chest in Los Angeles, law enforcement said Thursday, June 4.

Officers responded to a home Wednesday morning after a 911 caller said, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin,” according to the The Los Angeles Police Department.

They found the 81-year-old who appeared in films like “Jumanji” and “Top Gun: Maverick” in the front yard stabbed in the chest and unconscious, according to police. He was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

Michael Gledhill, 44, who is Handy’s girlfriend’s son and lives at the home with his mother, told officers that he was the person they were looking for, according to police.

Gledhill was booked on suspicion of one count of murder, according to police. His bail was set at $2 million, according to jail records.

It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney. Jail records did not show an attorney for him and messages left with the county public defender’s office were not immediately returned.

Born in New York, Handy has been appearing in films and TV for decades and was known for his role as an exterminator in the 1995 film “Jumanji” and more recently as the bartender Jimmy in the 2022 film “Top Gun: Maverick,” according to IMDB. He’s also appeared in some of the top TV crime dramas, including “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “The Closer” and “Cold Case.”

“I could not have asked for a more talented, humble or gracious client and friend than James Handy,” Pam Ellis-Evenas, from the Ellis Talent Group, said in an email to The Associated Press. /ra

  • Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s “Very Serious” Relationship Has “Deepened” Ahead of Big Milestone for This Reason

    The Gist

    • Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are beginning to blend their families as they approach their first anniversary.
    • Perry and Trudeau’s relationship has “deepened” as a result, according to one insider.
    • The singer has a daughter with her ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau shares three children with his ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.

Ahead of their first anniversary, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are taking this important step. A source close to the couple confirmed that they’re blending their families.

“Things between Katy and Justin are very serious,” the insider told Us Weekly in a June 4 report. “After her split from Orlando [Bloom], Katy really wasn’t expecting to jump into another relationship anytime soon, but Justin completely caught her by surprise. He came into her life at the right time, and they have developed a really strong connection.”

Perry and Bloom announced that they ended their engagement last summer after nearly a decade together. The former couple welcomed their daughter, Daisy Bloom, in 2020.

Trudeau and the “Woman’s World” artist have been romantically linked since July 2025, and according to Us Weekly‘s source, they’ve been “integrating their lives more and more.” Perry has reportedly introduced Daisy to Trudeau’s children, sons Xavier and Hadrien and daughter Ella-Grace, whom he shares with his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.

“Their relationship has deepened over the past several months, and they are about to celebrate their one-year anniversary,” the source added. “They both feel it’s important to blend their families thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace.”

Perry is apparently “really happy” in the relationship, while Canada’s ex-prime minister has “been making a real effort to be present despite their busy schedules.”

“Katy loves that Justin laughs at her jokes and understands her quirky humor,” they said. “Her friends think he’s a good match for her. The future is definitely something they’ve talked about, and they’re both committed to seeing where this goes.”

  • Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova Spark Split Speculation Amid Resurfaced Video

Enrique Iglesias is no stranger to showering fans with affection — but a recently resurfaced video has some followers wondering whether all is well at home with his longtime partner, Anna Kournikova.

The clip, which originated at a Las Vegas meet and greet in 2024, shows Iglesias pulling a fan close, kissing her on the lips and holding her by the hips while she snapped a selfie. The video is not new — but Iglesias’ decision to repost it to his Instagram feed recently caught many of his followers off guard, and it quickly went viral, sparking a wave of concern and criticism in the comments section.

“WHY WOULD HE DO THIS TO ANNA?” one user wrote, and many in the comments section largely echoed the frustration. Followers felt the decision to reshare the clip disrespectful, while others dispensed with the criticism entirely and simply wanted to know whether he and Kournikova were still together.

Iglesias was slammed for kissing the fan because the singer, 51, and Kournikova, 44, have been together since 2001, when they met on the set of the music video for his track “Escape”. The private couple have four children: twins Lucy and Nicholas, 8, and daughter Mary, 6, along with son Romeo, who arrived in December 2025.

For his part, Iglesias has previously addressed his habit of getting up close and personal with fans during performances — and said his partner has no issue with it. Speaking to Sirius XM’s Hits 1 Miami with Mack & Jen, in 2024, he explained: “Anna will be at one of my shows and I’ll do that. I do that all the time — I love embracing, kissing and hugging my fans. I like getting close up.”

During that interview, he credited his supporters for his success, saying, “I just love to get so much love from my fans and know that if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be where I am.”

The couple have long kept their relationship and family life largely out of the public eye. Kournikova stepped away from her career as a professional tennis player in 2003.

The actress and singer premiered the film ‘Good Grief’ at Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday, June 4

    • The actress and singer makes this revelation in her new documentary Good Grief
    • Good Grief premiered at Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday, June 4

Sara Bareilles opened up about her personal struggles with fertility in her new documentary.

Good Grief, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday, June 4, chronicles the making of the actress and singer’s first album in seven years in 2025 as she confronts various types of loss she’s suffered.

In the documentary, Bareilles, 46, can be seen catching up with her collaborators in the studio, when she shares that she and husband Joe Tippett have been trying to have kids.

“I’m in the same boat,” she says to her collaborator, who has also been struggling with fertility issues. “We’ve been trying for two years.”

Bareilles then becomes emotional and reveals she’s tried IVF “a few times.”

“But I think the next phase is egg donor,” the “Love Song” hitmaker says, becoming emotional. “For some reason, I’m not making the appointment. I really had to grieve that…that it won’t be mine.”

Bareilles then says she’s been doing a lot of “meditating around the size of love.”

“The idea that love is just big enough to hold a lot of shapes and sizes and ways things come. The idea that I could only love a child if it shows up in this one way,” she adds.

Bareilles announced on Instagram in October 2025 that she and Tippett, 44, had tied the knot.

“We did a big thing,” she captioned the post, which featured a series of photos from the wedding. “I will just say I love this man and I love the community who came to hold us up. I am feeling so lucky and so grateful. ❤️ .”

The couple first met in 2015 while working together on the musical Waitress, and two years later, they went public with their romance.

Bareilles announced her engagement to Tippett on New Year’s Day in 2023.

On Wednesday, June 3, the “Brave” artist announced her new album Good Grief, which is set to be released on Aug. 28.

“This whole collection of songs felt like transmissions rather than a deliberate attempt to make sense of the world,” Bareilles said in a press release statement. “My deepest hope is that Good Grief provides some kind of comfort or catharsis.”

  • Brad Pitt hit with bizarre $75K lawsuit following family heartbreak

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – NOVEMBER 17: Brad Pitt, star of the upcoming Formula One based movie, Apex, walks in the Pitlane prior to qualifying ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Las Vegas at Las Vegas Strip Circuit on November 17, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada

Brad Pitt has been caught up in a bizarre lawsuit with the men’s beauty line, Beau D., after the company accused him of trademark infringement and common-law unfair competition. Beau D., which lists a $56 cream designed for men’s genitalia amongst its products, has sued Brad’s skincare line after its name was changed from Le Domaine to Beau Domaine in 2025.

Brad launched the skincare line in 2022 alongside the Perrins, a powerful French family who oversee the winemaking process at the vineyard, Château Miraval, in which the actor owns a 50% stake. Beau Domaine products also contain a patented compound made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes, which are said to have anti-aging properties.

Beau D., who trademarked their name in 2020, have accused Brad of changing the name of his company to one that is too similar to their own. They are seeking $75,000 in damages and a court order that will ensure that the name Beau Domaine won’t be used in future business ventures.

Domaine won’t be used in future business ventures.

Brad’s company is being sued by Beau D.

Aside from accusations of trademark infringement and common-law unfair competition, Beau D. also sued for false designation of origin, which entails confusing customers over who makes a product or where it originated.

The company told Air Mail that they tried to settle the matter privately on three occasions to no avail. “It isn’t about publicity or punishment,” said Beau D. founder Brandon Palas. “It’s about protecting the integrity of what we’ve spent years building and ensuring independent brands have the right to grow without being overshadowed or diluted.”

Brad’s skincare line features gender-neutral, fragrance-free products, as he told Variety. “I’m not the face of this line,” he added. “I don’t want to be selling something. It’s not about a celebrity brand. It’s about the land, the science and the people behind it.”

He founded his skincare line in 2022

Brad’s fight with Beau D. comes just a week after his eldest son, Maddox, filed to legally drop “Pitt” from his surname amid their ongoing estrangement. The 24-year-old, who was adopted by Brad’s ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, in 2002, filed to change his name to “Maddox Chivan Jolie”, citing “personal” reasons.

Several of Brad’s six children, whom he shares with Angelina, have opted to drop his surname in recent years, pointing to a rift that reportedly began after an explosive plane journey in 2016 that led to the couple’s divorce.

Brad’s daughter, Shiloh, legally filed to drop Pitt from her name in 2024 when she turned 18, and her sister, Zahara, went by “Zahara Marley Jolie” at her graduation from Spelman College in May, which the F1 star was absent from.

Maddox filed to legally drop “Pitt” from his last name

Their youngest daughter, Vivienne, chose to be listed as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Broadway playbill for The Outsiders in 2024. While their other sons Pax and Knox have not indicated whether they still go by the “Jolie-Pitt” surname, the children are reportedly estranged from their dad.

The former couple share six children

Brad previously admitted that he wanted to be more present with his kids following his 2016 split from Angelina. “I grew up with a Father-knows-best/war mentality – the father is all-powerful, super strong – instead of really knowing the man and his own self-doubt and struggles,” he told GQ  in 2017.

“And it’s hit me smack in the face with our divorce: I gotta be more. I gotta be more for them. I have to show them. And I haven’t been great at it… They absorb everything. They need to have their hand held, and things explained. They need to be listened to. When I get in that busy work mode, I’m not hearing. I want to be better at that.”
