Brad Pitt\u00a0has been caught up in a bizarre lawsuit with the men’s beauty line, Beau D., after the company accused him of trademark infringement and common-law unfair competition. Beau D., which lists a $56 cream designed for men’s genitalia amongst its products, has sued Brad’s skincare line after its\u00a0name\u00a0was changed\u00a0from Le Domaine to Beau Domaine in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brad launched the skincare line in 2022 alongside the Perrins, a powerful French family who oversee the winemaking process at the vineyard,\u00a0Ch\u00e2teau Miraval,\u00a0in\u00a0which the actor owns a 50% stake. Beau Domaine products also contain a patented compound made\u00a0from Grenache, Syrah and Mourv\u00e8dre grapes, which are said to have anti-aging properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beau D., who trademarked their name in 2020, have accused Brad of changing the name of his company to one that is too similar to their own. They are seeking $75,000 in damages and a court order that will ensure that the name Beau Domaine won’t be used in future business ventures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from accusations of trademark infringement and common-law unfair competition, Beau D. also sued for false designation of origin, which entails confusing customers over who makes a product or where it originated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company told\u00a0Air Mail<\/em>\u00a0that they tried to settle the matter privately on three occasions to no avail. “It isn’t about publicity or punishment,” said Beau D. founder Brandon Palas.\u00a0“It’s about protecting the integrity of what we’ve spent years building and ensuring independent brands have the right to grow without being overshadowed or diluted.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brad’s skincare line features gender-neutral, fragrance-free products, as he told\u00a0Variety.\u00a0<\/em>“I’m not the face of this line,” he added. “I don’t want to be selling something. It’s not about a celebrity brand. It’s about the land, the science and the people behind it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brad’s fight with Beau D. comes just a week after his eldest son, Maddox,\u00a0filed to legally drop “Pitt” from his surname\u00a0amid their ongoing estrangement.\u00a0The 24-year-old, who was adopted by Brad’s ex-wife,\u00a0Angelina Jolie, in 2002, filed to change his name to “Maddox Chivan Jolie”, citing “personal” reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several of\u00a0Brad’s six children, whom he shares with Angelina, have opted to drop his surname in recent years, pointing to a rift that reportedly began after an explosive plane journey in 2016 that led to the couple’s divorce.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brad’s daughter,\u00a0Shiloh, legally filed to drop Pitt from her name in 2024 when she turned 18, and her sister,\u00a0Zahara, went by “Zahara Marley Jolie” at her graduation from Spelman College in May, which the\u00a0F1<\/em>\u00a0star\u00a0was absent from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
