As questions about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding build, Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse weighed in on whether the ceremony is taking place in his state.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce swear they’re gonna marry each other someday.
But the details still remain tightly under wraps. And while rumors that the nuptials might occur in Rhode Island have been building for months, the Ocean State’s Senator Sheldon Whitehouse shared his take.
“I don’t know about that, I think that she gave Rhode Island a pass,” he told TMZ on June 2. “But I hope so, I’d love to have her in Rhode Island.”
But while the senator does seem convinced that the sure-to-be-epic bash isn’t happening in his state, it would make sense as a locale. After all, Taylor’s sprawling, 11,000-square-foot home on the coast of Westerly would make for the perfect venue.
In fact, the mansion has already been home to the Grammy winner’s annual July 4 party—and there have been rumors that she and Travis are planning to tie the knot over the Independence Day weekend.
Alas, Taylor and Travis’ friends, family and loved ones are keeping so tight a lid that it is likely fans won’t get any concrete answers until after the nuptials have already happened.
Take, for instance, Taylor’s soon to be sister-in-law Kylie Kelce’s fiery response to anyone asking her about the wedding.
“To literally everybody, I know it usually comes from a good place, not always, but quit asking me and my mother-in-law about upcoming nuptials,” Kylie—who shares four daughters with husband Jason Kelce—said during the April 2 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. “Nobody’s f–king telling you anything. I don’t have any details.”
